REALITY CHECK #9......7/24/2010

REALITY CHECK: Today I had to get this off my chest because it needs to be addressed to the masses. The hip hop culture is under siege from the truth of today's ills and the sins of the past. Whatever happen to the message from rap music? Today rap music is about unrealistic events that's not gonna happen to anyone. I see lots of barbie dolls, skinny jean swag jackers, disrespectful sconions and wannabe prankstas who are suppose to be the new revolution of the leaders of our world. How can we take our children seriously when they can't even respect themselves or authority. Rap music wasn't invented to be a commercial success but as a fundamental tool to voice the problems or parties within our community. So what will it take to be an asset to the history of the hip hop culture.
